Shema Yisrael may seem unfamiliar to those who are visiting this site for the first time. It is Hebrew and means: “Hear Yisrael” sometimes translated as “Hear O Israel” in English Bibles. If you are familiar with the New Testament, then you have probably read that phrase before.
“Yahushua answered him,
The first of all the commandments is:
Hear, O Israel, (Shema Yisrael) hwhy our Elohim,
hwhy is one.”
